The New CON-SPACE Double Splitter with Microphone Control Switch allows Confined Space Rescue Teams to easily manage communication between their Primary and Standby Entrants. The unit is designed to double the capability of Ports 1 & 2 on a CSI-2100 Command Module.
The four ports on the front of the Double Splitter are divided into two teams:
· By placing the pointer of the Microphone Control Switch in 'Team 1' position, the two entrants in 'Team 1' can speak and hear on the Communication System. The two entrants in 'Team 2' can hear only.
· By placing the pointer of the Microphone Control Switch in 'Team 2' position, the two entrants in 'Team 2' can speak and hear on the Communication System. The two entrants in 'Team 1' can hear only.
· Placing the Microphone Control Switch in the middle or 'both' position allows both Teams 1 & 2 to speak and hear simultaneously.
This provides the attendant with a quick and easy method of toggling
between the primary and standby teams if they are required to cycle out
during a rescue operation. It also provides the standby team to monitor
the primary entry team's communication, thereby minimizing briefing time
if they are required to enter the space. (Note: The CSI-2100 Command Module
must have the "SP Modification" for the Double Splitter to function
properly. Contact CON-SPACE for details 1-800-546-3405)
